Prevail Support offer a variety of services to choose from, each of which can be highly customised depending on patient needs whilst remaining in line with the agreed care plan put in place by all involved parties.
Their flexible approach enables a tailored service when it matters and really needed. It also enables usual carer to take a break and socialise with the reassurance that their loved one is being cared for in their absence. They provide the following domiciliary services:
• Live in care
• Care in your home
• Waking night/sleep over
Their dedicated team can assist with:
• The start of the day “good morning”, getting patients up, washing, showering or bathing, dressing up and making breakfast
• Medication reminders/administration/collection from your local pharmacy or the prescription from your doctor (GP) surgery
• Meal preparation, budgeting, shopping trips with/without you
• General cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Social activities
• Night care: waking night or sleepover (sleep in service)
Waking nights and sleep-ins are a popular option for service users - especially those with family that live far away or can’t be at hand in minutes should their parent/relative wake up in the middle of the night disorientated.
Before your Prevail Support and Services’ care worker’s first visit, the team will arrange a home assessment with one of their care managers to draw up a care plan.
Your care plan is built around your individual needs, considering your personal care, medical requirements and preferences. The assessment is designed so that the care manager can find precisely the right carers and care management plan to suit your needs and personality.
Your Prevail Support and Services’ care worker can help you with:
• Learning disability support
• Respite and general care
• Mental-health care
• Care leavers/live in carers
• Bathing and personal hygiene
• Going to bed, getting up, dressing
• Taking and managing medication
• Going to the doctors, outings and trips
• Shopping for and preparing nutritious meals
• Cooking, feeding and mealtime supervision
• Companionship
• Managing challenging behaviour
