To document each visit in the daily house diary, specifying tasks undertaken, any relevant changes which have occurred and all other pertinent information.
To write legibly the precise time of arrival and time of departure, always with accompanying date and signature.
To be more professional when making comments in the daily diary.
To work within Prevail Support and Services’ guidance regarding the handling of people we support finances, ensuring accurate documentation and receipting of any transactions.
To be familiar with Prevail Support and Services’ Health and Safety Policy and to promote safe working code of practices.
To follow company policy by ensuring full compliance with infection control procedures.
To report and record any incident or accident which arises, no matter how small - whether to the people to support or the care worker.
To immediately report any noticeable changes in health, behaviour or circumstances of the people we support – whilst maintaining their right to privacy and confidentiality.
To contribute to review and update of the people we support care plans as needed.
To be aware of, and comply with, the tasks and activities which must NOT be undertaken as part of care duties, as detailed in Prevail Support and Services’ Policy on Prohibited Duties (Limits of Responsibility).
To advise Supervisors and/or Managers of any perceived problems or difficulties experienced with the service provided to the people we support.
To advise Supervisors and/or Managers of any ideas which might enhance or improve the level of service delivered to the people we support.
To participate in induction and foundation training and regular in-service training programmes as directed by Managers or Supervisors.
To make themselves available on a regular basis at an agreed upon time to review their personal and professional progress, which will be recorded in their personnel file, (this is available on request). This will be carried out as either a one-to-one or annual appraisal.
